Government, not being liable fully for the Expense incurred by them on their way to and from their stations, Mr. Secretary Herbert has suggested that the respective Gentlemen should prefer their application for repayment through the Paymaster General.

I wish to state that in future Mr. Paymaster will call upon the Officers to repay the amounts advanced to them.
